ePlatform supports the use of web services by using the open source project Axis.
The framework incorporates the ability to both call and create web services.

Incoming web service calls are handled by a standard implementation. Action or report objects can be configured to initiate existing web services.
|

|
The action object can be configured with the location and name of the web service along with the method call, parameters and return types.
|
| |
|
The report object can be also be configured in the same way in order to retrieve the requested data needed for rendering.
|
| |

|
All of this amounts to the ability of being able to make application and business logic available via web services.
